Facsia, gutters and roof battens on

Hiya, I have been a bit slack at updating this as I have been busy being very upset about the Evil deck from hell our neighbours went and build! all you from HomeOne would have read all about it on my thread...

So our poor little house has been a bit neglected and it's not fair to the house or to Wisdom - as they are doing a great job so far. Well, not sure about one thing... (I'll have to try to get hold of the SS first thing tomorrow) as the battens are on but there's no sign of the Sarking! ummmm, I would have sworn that the sarking goes down first and then the battens on top... Pls correct me if I am wrong! I am sure they'll fix it though so not stressing (much anyway) yet...

The bricks were finished on Tuesday, the roof tiles have arrived, the facsia and gutters are on and so are the roof battens (where is the sarking???)

I haven't been to the block in daytime since Tuesday so I am afraid that I only have a couple of bad night photos... sorry!

Is it ok to be in love with your brick work? or does that make me a big Loser and a bit of a freak? well, I do love my bricks... our brickies are doing a great job, they are awesome! here are some pics...

More progress on the pics 10/07/09

The brickies have kept going and are working in the mud pit, bless them! they are doing a slower progress (as there's only half of them on site now) but a really nice neat job, very good workmanship. Pics from 7.30am today.

A couple more pics of this afternoon's progress! These brickies are doing an awesome job! Very happy so far.

I think Wisdom has the nicest tradies and the best Site Supervisors (at least ours). We are so happy with our SS, he's always on the ball and no question is ever a silly question and cares about the houses and corrects any glitches. I couldn't have asked for anyone better.

Bricks started!!!!

Yay the bricks have started!!!! Wisdom surely is making the most of the dry weather!


We were going to do a flush mortar joint but the SS and the brickie recommended we do the ironed joint as it's a smoother finish and since we paid an upgrade to get our nice smooth bricks it made sense. I am glad we did as I like how it looks!

OMG We have frames and roof trusses!!!!

OMG, we really can't believe, this is just awesome work by Wisdom!
I got a call this morning to say that the frames have been delivered, and then another call in the afternoon to let us know that "some work" had been done (haha F) and this is what we found.... It's all done!!!!
We are going back there very early in the am to get daylight pics!!! This is so exciting, we got to walk THROUGH our house!!!
